RICHAIR2030 at Bow Festival, London

RICHAIR2030 mobilizes renegade roller girls from London Eastend's Bow community to take control of the public airwaves for an urgent communal broadcast. By rollers, by airwaves, the roller girls with homemade WiFi lunchboxes roams Roman Road market, made into wireless TAZ (Temporary Autonomous Zone) with a dynamic relay network setup. Using all communicative means possible (interviews, walkietalkie, signal noise), they call for public awareness and active engagement in keeping the freenetwork alive. Pumped up by the lunchboxes' self-generative network signal noise, the streaming broadcast live on the net and radio, can also be heard on the loudspeakers setup at Roman road and through roaming ghettoblasters.
